News, Reviews April 10th, 2007 at 12:06 pmToday I am proud to announce that Noob Flash will be moving to a new hosting provider within the next 7-14 days. Currently we are using GoDaddy.com. While we have had no problems with GoDaddy, we have looked into other hosting providers and found that 1&1 has much better packages and services for the price than GoDaddy.
Want 3 Free Domain Names? Keep reading…
One of the best features of 1&1 is the 3 FREE domains you get with the $9.99/mo hosting account. If you want to buy more than 3 domains, it’s only 5.99 a year per domain! That is $3 a domain cheaper than GoDaddy! Plus, with GoDaddy you have to purchase one hosting account per domain you wanted to host. With 1&1, you can host many domains on one hosting account. So for $9.99/mo, you could host 20 domains. That’s a savings of over $100 compared to GoDaddy!
Another thing that is great about 1&1 is the massive amount of free services they offer. For $9.99/mo 1&1 offers:
Free private registration
3 Free domain names
200 subdomains
100 external domain hosting
250GB of Web Space
2,500GB of Monthly Bandwidth
25 FTP Accounts
2,500 Email Accounts
2GB of Mailbox Space
Support for IMAP & Pop 3
Webmail, Spam Filtering
Website Builder
Dynamic Site Creator (Creates Flash Websites)
Photo Gallery
$50 Adwords credit
$100 Microsoft adCenter Credit
$50 Yahoo Search Marketing Credit
$50 Citysearch Credit
5 blogs
EasyRSS
Firewall Protection
Daily Website Backups
24/7 Phone & Email Support
Online FAQ Center
90-Day Money Back Guarantee
The amount of services these guys offer is mind-boggling. Check Out 1&1 Web Hosting, or use the form below to find a domain name.

1&1 is one of the worst hosting providers I’ve been in contact with! I was considering going with them, but it took them several days to respond to an inquiry, and they couldn’t provide an answer. It took them a couple more days to respond to my next inquiry and still no answer. After waiting several days, they made the decision for me and I cancelled my acct there before even moving my site and went with another host. After I left, I got a answer to my questions, but apparently they didn’t check to see that I was no longer their customer. What a joke of a company!!

Thanks for the comment. We have been in contact with 1&1 and know several people that use them exclusively. We have not had any communication problems with them at this point, but will keep an open mind thanks to your experience. BTW, what was the question you had trouble getting them to answer?
*Update* - Upon searching the internet, I found few cases like this with 1&1 but many cases of bad customer support with GoDaddy… At this point I still feel that we are doing the right thing by moving our account over to 1&1.

1&1 has had some problems with customer service, but I’ve had the exact same experience with pretty much any host. There’s almost always some downtime, incompatibilities, or long delays in getting back to you for a request.
That’s everyone, not just 1&1.
